Questions to ask when getting a roof restoration quote.

A roof restoration is an investment in your home, and deciding which company to go with can become overwhelming. Here are questions you should be asking when getting your roof restoration quotes to ensure you are an informed customer.

How much does a roof restoration cost?

The cost of a roof restoration depends on many factors. A standard, straight forward small roof restoration starts from $3,000 with the average tiled roof restoration costing between $4,000 – $6,000. Metal and terracotta roofs are cheaper as there is no bedding or repointing involved in a metal roof and terracotta roofs are generally not painted. You can read more information in our blog post.

How long does a roof restoration take?

A standard sized roof restoration will take between 2-3 days.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! You can put your roof restoration on an interest-free finance plan. Ask about it when you call our office - 1300 166 209.

Do you use subcontractors?

No! In fact, all of our employees have been trained from the beginning of their trade with us. We are a small team to maintain a high level of quality control. Beware of subcontractors.

Do you offer a warranty?

We absolutely stand by our work, backing our workmanship with a 10 year warranty. Nutech's flexible pointing, Maxi Point, has a 10 year warranty. Their Tileflex roof membrane has a 12 year warranty, while their heat reflective option NXT Cool Zone has a 15 year warranty.

Are you licenced for both roofing and painting?

Brisco Roofing carries licences for both roof tiling and painting. Both licences are needed for a roof restoration. We are also fully insured with both public liability and Workcover.

Are there any hidden charges?

No! What you are quoted is what you will pay. Any additional work will always be quoted and approved by the customer before commencing.

Should I go with the cheaper quote?

Please, be aware of cheap roof restorations. Too often we have seen customers burnt and cheap their restoration left them with a peeling roof in a matter of a couple of years. When they call the mobile - it has been disconnected, meaning the 'warranty' is useless. Ask if a sub contactor is doing the roof, read their reviews, ask what products they are using, search the company's licence. Be an educated customer.

Ged from the day we first met him, was polite, personable and willing to answer any and all of our questions. We had our quote within the hour. We booked the work and then the team - whom where also great and with all the points mentioned above - began the job. We had a scheduled trip away that we could not change. The weather was cause for waiting for the work to be completed, as it hadn't rained in weeks then rained after the first day of work commencement. We left to go away and Ged and the team completed the work. We came home to a roof that was cleaned, repaired, and sealed. The new colour - Earl Grey - just disappears into the sky. We really like the colour and went with the suggestions from Ged, not to go too dark for the temperature inside the house to remain cool. It's worked. The weather is hot, our house isn't. We will recommend Brisco Roofing to our family and friends. Thanks Ged and Crew. Much appreciated.

Really glad we went with Brisco for our tiled roof restoration. Great value for money, you really do get a top quality finish. Gerry and Shane did an amazing job on the clean and roof restoration, we knew that there were about 10 tiles that needed replacing and after the clean the boys ended up replacing about 50 tiles. The Apex's on my roof also cracked under the high pressure clean so these were replaced with brand new, stronger Apex capping tiles. Ged gave me confidence that his team would do whatever was needed and that they don't cut any corners. They grinded back all the existing sealer on the capping and completely resealed the roof giving me confidence the job has been done right the first time. We used a high fill primer and 2 thick coats of Nutech Deep Ocean roof paint on our home in Bracken Ridge. I'd highly recommend these guys if you want a quality Brisbane roofing job done that will last the test of time, it was important to me that I was not only happy with the finish now but in 10 years time also. I had multiple quotes and although Brisco was slightly more expensive they were prepared to do more than double the work. Between Ged, Gerry and Shane I had 2 guys here on my roof for 3 days compared to the other quotes that were going to do it themselves in 2-3 days and not re-point the roof. Our roof didn't actually need re-pointing until they used the high pressure clean on it, however I'd prefer for my roof to be cleaned properly so the paint can stick and I know the cheaper quotes would simply just do some touch ups and paint over the cracks, hoping that sealed it enough. I also wanted to go with a company that's more likely to be around if I needed to make a warranty claim. Gerry cleaned the exterior of my house with the high pressure cleaner and left my walls in eaves looking better than when they arrived. Nothing was too much trouble.

Serious job needed a dedicated team of professionals A 12 year-old highset house - the tiled roof had not aged well. A substantial number of cracked and porous tiles, serious cracking and drying out of mortar, tell-tale signs of water seepage. We needed professionals and we found them. I couldn’t recommend Ged and his team more highly. Ged assessed the issues and outlined exactly what needed to be done. Hardworking teamwork was evident. The job was completed on time with absolutely no surprises, including a thorough wash-down and tidy-up afterwards. My advice is go straight to Ged. You won’t be disappointed. As always great service. Brisco did a big fix on my roof 2015. Detected a stain on my ceiling recently. Called up Ged who happily came back. It was not the roof at all - just cracked sealant around an air con. Instead of just saying - 'your problem mate' Ged fixed it for nothing! Top bloke, great company - you won't find better
